There was drama this morning at the Kano State House of Assembly when the Deputy Speaker and chairman of the Public Complaints and Petition Committee, Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari, raised concerns over the ongoing investigation of petitions of alleged violation of the culture, tradition and religious values by Kano Emir Muhammad Sanusi.
Trouble how-ever started when Chidari while still speaking was instantly shut down by members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Assembly.
The lawmakers started shouting at each other and a heated debate ensued.
It didn’t take long for the commotion to turn into physical combat with the opposition members struggling to take control of the mace.
