Nigeria has recorded the first coronavirus death in the country.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced that the patient was a 67 year old male who returned home following medical treatment in United Kingdom.
He had underlying medical conditions- multiple myeloma & diabetes & was undergoing chemotherapy

UPDATE: Suleiman Achimugu, a former Managing Director of Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC) a subsidiary of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, has been identified as the first coronavirus death in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, One of the sons of former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
