Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 7-man robbery gang led by an Indian lady named Alisha Noble who claimed that she fortified herself with charms before coming to Nigeria.
A statement signed by the Lagos PPRO, DSP Elkana Bala, said Alisha and her gang were known for robbing Churches and supermarkets in Lagos.
According to P.M.EXPRESS, the 7-man robbery gang were arrested on 27th February, 2020, after series of gun battle with the police and Nigerian army during their robbery operation along Lagos-Apapa expressway.
While being paraded over the weekend, the gang leader, Alisha Noble, confessed that no amount of bullets shot at her can penetrate her body because she was fortified in India by a great priest, who died after fortifying her.
She also revealed that she had a lot of magical powers, which was why when she arrived Nigeria early 2011, she decided to form the robbery gang because she knew no bullet would penetrate her body.
Another member of the gang confessed about the numbers of churches they had robbed and the amount of money the gang had got from shops and churches they robbed.
Elkana said the gang ran out of luck at their last operation when the Police acted on intelligence report about their activities, then monitored and arrested the gang members including Alisha Noble.
“We had a serious gun battle with them before we were supported by men of the Nigerian Army”, the Police said.
He further said that the Inspector of Police in charge of the case has promised that the Police would do everything possible to recover all the items they had stolen.
