Nigerian singer, Seyi Shay is currently under heavy backlash on social media for insinuating that Malaria and Typhoid are more deadly than Coronavirus.
Sheyi Shay took to her Twitter page to questioned why the government is giving ‘serious’ attention to coronavirus while ignoring the damages done by typhoid and malaria.
She wondered why people aren’t bothered about the deaths caused by typhoid and malaria but are more concerned about Coronavirus. She wrote:
“So wait… is corona virus more deadly than malaria? And why cant our government do something about malaria and Typhoid that people seem to be getting every week out here? Or is that just a WHOOOOLE ‘nother story??
“Ok, so its contagious BUT is it more deadly? This one that everyone is forgetting that people have been and are still dying from Malaria and typhoid… daily!”
So wait… is corona virus more deadly than malaria? And why cant our government do something about malaria and Typhoid that people seem to be getting every week out here? Or is that just a WHOOOOLE 'nother story??

Seyi Sha’s comment is coming just 3 day after American singer, Keri Hilson, was dragged for saying that the deadly coronavirus was caused by 5G networks networks.
Nigerians are reacting outrageously while replying to her question on social media users.

Lol. Aunty Seyi Shay no naa😁. Corona Virus and Malaria can't be on the same table. Afterall, depression has killed more people than Malaria does not mean we should ignore malaria which is more obvious and popular to start facing the depressed.
Just giving an example. Check it❤ https://t.co/0DcBodu57f

Few days ago, it was Keri Hilson. Now, it's Seyi Shay.
It's okay for celebs to voice out on social issues but if you don't shit, shut your slit!
A simple Google search would save you from embarrassment.

— Tweezy (@ItsOluwaTweezy) March 19, 2020

Seyi Shay woke up to continue tweeting nonsense
— Wale (@mebewale_) March 19, 2020
Why is it that when a celeb says something incorrect, we start to bash them? Why are we shocked Seyi Shay is not an expert on the corona virus? She's a singer not a medical expert. It's OK to educate her on what she's ignorant of instead of telling her to "stick to music."
