Popular Nigerian singer, Dbanj has finally come out to address the rape allegation levelled against him by Seyitan Babatayo, while demanding a N100 million compensation and an apology letter from the young lady.
KanyiDaily recalls that two weeks ago, Seyitan narrated how Dbanj raped her during an all-white party in 2018, at Glee hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos State.
However, in a post shared via his Instagram page on Tuesday, the music star said the allegations are all lies and from the pit of the hell.
He went on to post a letter written by his lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome, where he is demanding that Satiyan Babatayo, pays the sum of 100M compensation within 48 hours or risk legal action.
In the same letter dated June 15, the singer also demanded that a letter of apology and retraction of her statements be written by his accuser and published in four national dailies. The letter read:
“We have been instructed to demand and we do hereby demand from you the following: That your client makes an outright apology and a total retraction of each and every false allegation made against and concerning our client.
“The said apology and retraction shall be published in four national dailies with wide circulation in Nigeria as well as on social media platforms and handles being used by your client and her hirelings.
“That your client makes a compensatory deposit of the sum of N100m only through this chambers in favour of our client to assuage his battered image,” the statement read in part.
Sharing copies of the latter on his Instagram page, Dbanj wrote:
“Today is exactly 1 week after my birthday and this will be the only time I will address the recent false allegations and lies from the pit of hell. I have chosen to do so because the incident is a slap to my marriage and my beautiful wife, my entire family, and those who believe in me,” he wrote.
“I did not want to dignify the slurs with a response but it appears my silence has empowered my Accusation are false and ludicrous and Have been handed over to my Legal Team, while the Nigerian Police is Investigating the Criminal aspect of it.
“It’s unfortunate that this is coming a few weeks before the second anniversary of my late son Daniel And this well-timed falsehood has reopened the painful scars of my deep loss. To my fans and loved ones, thanks for the support, your prayers, and your positive comments. The truth will always prevail. God bless us all. 🙏🙏🙏.”

Meanwhile, Dbanj has been accused of allegedly ordering the police to arrest, Seyitan Babatayo, and restrict her from getting access to her lawyers, family members and friends.
Seyitan’s lawyers were alleged to have claimed their client is being detained in other to get her to retract her rape accusations against the music star.
