Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has alleged that Southern Kaduna leaders were lying about the situation of things in region.
While appearing as guest on Channels TV on Sunday night, Governor El-Rufai spoke about the long-running crisis between Southern Kaduna leaders and the Fulani people.
The governor alleged that the leaders were concealing the culpability of their people in the crisis between them with Fulani in order to garner sympathy from outsiders and secure financial support as well.
El-Rufai said the previous governments were paying the leaders involved with the Southern Kaduna killings “peace money” every month, and he stopped it.
He said unlike his predecessors, he would not appease them (Southern Kaduna leaders) but would ensure they were arrested and duly prosecuted for prolonging the crisis.
