A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, and his wife Precious Chikwendu, have reportedly parted ways over alleged domestic Violence.
According to blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus, their separation is as a result of repeated case of domestic violence suffered by Precious. She got beaten up many times by the former Minister, even when she was pregnant with her first son and the triplets.
SDK reports that Precious moved out months ago but without her four sons as the former Minister has taken custody of the kids and put them under the care of a nanny with strict instructions that Precious not come near the house they shared as a couple.
It was gathered that Fani-Kayode took back the car gift and all the goodies he ever bought for her whilst they were married, and has left her broke, begging for money to survive as her accounts were seized as well.
An insiders said every time they post on the social media, “just know that they just settled a quarrel or someone got whooped and they settled.”
The insider added that “the situation between both of them is serious and he has told her she would never see her kids again.
“Their situation is even worse as Precious is allegedly demanding for DNA on her triplet sons because All four kids were allegedly conceived via IVF but she is not sure where the former Minister brought the sperm he dropped for the hospital to use on her to conceive the triplets.
“The former Minister also allegedly called Doctors who take care of mad people and alleged precious was a mad woman and they forcefully removed her pant and gave her injections and she was allegedly locked up for some months before she was released and she ran…..It is alleged Precious recently tried to commit suicide over trauma.”
However, a family source told PREMIUM TIMES on Wednesday that the marriage broke down irretrievably due to a health challenge which Ms Chikwendu has been trying to manage since they became a couple.
According to the source, the health issue posed a serious challenge and the couple later became estranged, alongside other unprintable reasons.
The close family source said, “Snowwhite was fond of going out without Fani-Kayode’s permission and he could no longer tolerate it. They had countless disagreements over unapproved outings.”
The source also denied reports that the union broke down due to domestic violence allegedly meted out to the ex-beauty queen by the ex- former minister.
In a separate chat with this newspaper, Chikwendu’s uncle, Okey Onyemachi, also debunked some the domestic violence allegations making the rounds.
“I never witnessed any domestic violence incident but I am aware that they are separated and are not staying together as we speak, but reports of domestic violence are very funny and malicious.
“I am unhappy about the reports and my major concern is the children and why people are cooking up fake stories. The allegations that the kids aren’t chief’s is a big lie and unthinkable. Precious is my niece and I can confirm that all these stories are false.”
Fani-Kayode and Precious Chikwendu, who are parents to four sons, including a set of two-year-old triplets, have been married since 2014.
Precious, who is fondly referred to as Snow White, is a model, actress and former beauty queen. She represented Nigeria at the Miss United Nations World Beauty pageant in 2014.
