The management of Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) has been accused of evicting nursing mothers from the hospital lodge without prior notice.
In a video circulating on the social media, a lady could be heard saying that new babies and their mums were sent out of the wards and forced to sleep outside on the walk way of the hospital without proper care and attention.
In the viral video, the mothers were seen lying on the floor with their new borns right outside despite paying for the hospital lodge on a daily basis to stay and watch over their babies.
The lady, who decried the inhuman treatment melted on nursing mothers, called on the Lagos State Government and the Federal Government to look into the matter and come to the aid of the patients.

I woke up this morning and saw this video and I just wanted to cry….this is LUTH. A federal hospital in Lagos where humans are treated like wild animals. New mothers forced to sleep on the floor in the open. Nigeria is a jungle. pic.twitter.com/FjJ3J64VsH
