President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with a former Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba, over the death of his wife, Amaka, who died in an auto crash on Friday.
Amaka Ndoma-Egba died in a road crash along the Okitipupa-Akure expressway on her way to a function in Akure, capital of Ondo State.
Amaka and three other persons lost their lives in the accident which involved four vehicles – a truck, a bus, and two cars – with about eight people injured.
Witnesses said the truck lost control and swerved off its lane to crush the cars and the bus, killing four persons in the bus including Amaka.
In a statement issued on Friday by Femi Adesina, a presidential aide, President Buhari offered his condolence and prayers to the bereaved Ndoma-Egbas.
“President Muhammadu Buhari extends sincere condolences to Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba and members of his family on the sudden and tragic death of his wife, Mrs Amaka Ndoma-Egba,” Mr Adesina said in the statement.
“The President says his thoughts and prayers are with them in their period of grief,” he added.
“He prays divine comfort for the entire family of Ndoma-Egba and peaceful repose of the soul of the departed.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Apostle Paul Okikijesu of the Christ Apostolic Miracle Ministry had revealed that God told him that President Buhari will mourn if urgent prayers are not offered on his behalf.
