Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has reacted to the resolution by the House of Representatives to invite President Muhammadu Buhari to brief the House on the true state of security in Nigeria.
KanyiDaily recalls that during Tuesday’s plenary, the House of Representatives had resolved to invite President Buhari to come and answer question about the security situation in the country.
The House considered the motion barely 24 hours after Boko Haram terrorists beheaded 43 rice farmers in Borno State, less than 20 km from Maiduguri, where Nigerian Army has used as headquarters in the ongoing war against insurgency.
Reacting on his twitter page, Fayose described the lawmakers as “mere toothless bulldogs”, adding that he would be surprised if Buhari honours their invitation because they only exist on paper in the eyes of the President.
The former governor also said some of the lawmakers at the forefront of the demand should expect EFCC invitation, freezing of their accounts, or possible arrest.
“I will be surprised if the President honours the House of Reps invitation. The National Assembly that is supposed to be representing the people should know by now that in the eyes of this President, they only exist on paper because they are mere toothless bull dogs.
Some of those Rep members at the forefront of the invitation of the President to appear before the House should expect EFCC invitation, freezing of their accounts or arrest for plotting to bring down legitimate government of the President. I warned,” he tweeted.

KanyiDaily recalls that the former speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara had blasted Northern leaders for not criticizing President Buhari like they did to Goodluck Jonathan over insecurity.
