Nigerian youths have resolved to stage another protest on Saturday over the decision of the Lagos State judicial panel of inquiry to reopen Lekki Toll Gate.
The tollgate has been closed since last year following the alleged shooting and killing of #EndSARS protesters by soldiers and police on October 20, 2020.
However, the Judicial panel on Saturday, February, 6, 2021, voted in support of the reopening of the tollgate by its owners, the Lekki Concession Company (LCC).
Irked by the decision of the panel, Nigerian youths have planned protest again at the tollgate on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 7am.
The angry youths are insisting that the tollgate remains closed until justice is served to the victims of the Lekki shooting.
Many Nigerians have also taken to social media to express their backing for the protest using the hashtag #OccupyLekkiTollGate.
Its exactly three months and eight days since peaceful protesters were sent to thier early graves at the Lekki Toll gate, Yet no one is answering to the genocidal attacks. We won't keep quiet. In an Unjust Society, Silence is an heinous crime. Why wont we #OccupyLekkiTollGate pic.twitter.com/WqgPeYHwGv

What we have learned from the Judicial panels , #EndSARS , and #LekkiMassacre ;
1. Never negotiate with this govt.
2. When you go out on the streets, stay on the streets until your demands are met.
3. Prepare for violence, they always bring it.
We should #OccupyLekkiTollGate

After killing our brothers and sisters at Lekki toll gate, they want to give the former Chief of Army of staff Buratai immunity by appointing him Ambassador.
They want to cover up the blood of our comrades with lies.
Don’t let them! #OccupyLekkiTollGate pic.twitter.com/vKFXNN17Sn
