The Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo has accused Nigerian singer-activist, Eedris Abdulkareem, of dissing him in his new song “JagaJaga Reloaded” because he refused to help him with money back in 2018.
Abdulkareem, in his new song, ‘jagajaga reloaded’ had criticized Keyamo, saying “where Festus Keyamo sef? He don dey chop with cabal o.”
Keyamo took to his Twitter handle and released different private conversations he had with Abdulkareem and how he allegedly begged for money.
He described the singer’s action as a cheap blackmail after the latter didn’t succeed in extorting him and other top government functionaries.
But reacting on Sunday, Abdulkareem said the minister’s reaction was evidence that he has indeed joined a “cabal” under the Buhari-led government.
The musician said it was unfortunate that the minister would share personal conversation between the pair about three years ago publicly despite all he also did for him in the past.
He recalled how he stood by Keyamo when he was imprisoned alongside other comrades during the administration of Olusegun Obasanjo, former president.
The musician said his resolve to seek help from the minister in 2018 when his mother was sick was due to the long-standing friendship between them at the time.
KanyiDaily recalls that Eedris Abdulkareem was recently earrested by the police for beating up his landlord over unpaid electricity bills in Lagos State.
