Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, and Senate Minority leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, were disgraced by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Onitsha.
It was gathered that the two chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other ranking members of the party were reportedly chased and harassed on Wednesday during a campaign at the Ogbo Ogwu market in Onitsha South.
The incident happened in the afternoon when Peter Obi and Senator Abaribe stormed the market to solicit support for the PDP candidate in the November 6 Anambra governorship election, Valentine Ozigbo.
It was learnt that when the two politicians started campaigning for Ozigbo, IPOB members began singing the praises of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu who is being detained and tried by the Federal Government for alleged terrorism.
Following the protest by the traders and some IPOB members, the PDP chieftains quickly left the market premises and were escorted by security operatives.
