Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has declared that he’s an unrepentant leader of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Ayodele Fayose stated this on his social media page after he visited the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
Fayose visited Tinubu on Tuesday at his residence in Bourdillon, Ikoyi, following the return of the APC leader who spent three months in the United Kingdom, where he underwent knee surgery.
In a post shared on his Facebook page, the PDP leader cleared the air about his visit to the APC leader, saying it was on health grounds.
Fayose stated that politics should be about love for each other, noting that anyone can fall sick as health issues know no political party.
Fayose Speaks After Visisting Tinubu
The PDP leader said, “Today, I was at Bourdillon, Ikoyi, Lagos to wish Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu a quick recovery.
“Health issues know no political party and in this part of the world, we seldom celebrate people when they are alive. Rather, we like to sign condolence registers. To me, that is not the best way to live.
“Most importantly, politics should be about love for each other. Therefore, like other leaders in Nigeria, I wish Asiwaju sound and robust health. And to those negative political analysts, this visit notwithstanding, I remain an unrepentant PDP leader and key stakeholder.”
KanyiDaily recalls that last year, Ayodele Fayose had praised Bola Tinubu, describing him as one of the greatest builders of men in Yorubaland and Nigeria at large.
