The embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu was seen in a video confronting and operative of the Department of State Services (DSS) at a Federal High Court in Abuja.
KanyiDaily had reported that during his trial on Wednesday, Nnamdi Kanu’s team of lawyers staged a walkout over the refusal of the DSS operatives to allow some of them to gain access into the courtroom, including Bruce Fein, Kanu’s lawyer from the United States.
In a viral video before the commencement of the proceedings, Kanu who was visibly angry was seen demanding to know why some members of his legal team were refused entrance into the courtroom.
Kanu said: “I’m asking you, who is stopping them from entering?”
To which the DSS operative replied: “You have no right to question me!”
The IPOB leader insisted that he has the right to question the security operative and their exchange escalated into a heated argument before they were both separated.
The judge, Justice Binta Nyako later adjourned the trial till January 19, 2021, after she expressed displeasure over the conduct of Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyers who walked out of the courtroom.
