An unspecified number of policemen have been abducted by Boko Haram terrorists who invaded the police mobile training college in Limankara, Gwoza local government area of Borno State.

It was gathered that the insurgents attacked the training school around 8:22 on Thursday night with gun trucks and shot sporadically into the air before kidnapping the mobile Police instructors.

“They overpowered the policemen and some of them went missing,” a source told TheCable.

Another source within the police authorities said that 13 officers were dislodged when the insurgents attacked the LGA, which is the hometown of the Chairman Senate Committee on Army, Senator Ali Ndume.

According to the source, the policemen later returned when reinforcement was deployed to overpower the insurgents.

“The officers have returned back to base. There are no casualties,” the source said.

When contacted, Borno command police spokesperson, Kamikudeen Sanu did not immediately respond to messages seeking information on the attack.

KanyiDaily had also reported how bandits attacked the Defence Academy in Afaka, Kaduna State, killing two officers and abducting one.
