Popular Nigerian singer, Davido has taken to social media to lambast his cousin, Dele Adeleke, for contesting the same position with their uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
KanyiDaily recalls that Dele Adeleke had recently declared his interest to contest against Ademola Adeleke in the 2022 Osun State governorship election.
Last week, Dele Adeleke had put a message on social media saying: “Intelligence & Understanding can not be falsified, stolen or handed to anyone on a silver platter. It takes dedication, patience and discipline to attain such feat.” “It is up to the party members to identify and support an intelligent aspirant among the lot. We can do better in Osun state! #IgbaOtunTiDe”
Reacting to the post on Tuesday, Davido shared a picture of his cousin holding a PDP provisional clearance certificate, noting that Dele who is now “forming an intellectual” struggled to get a second class lower certificate while in the University.
Davido wrote, “Wonderful! Me I finished uni with a 2:1. But it’s now cousin Dele who struggled to even get a 2:2 that is now forming “intellectual”. Intellectual that has not succeeded in building one single thing in his life on his own. This life ehn! Osun beware of FAKES!@deleadeleke001.”

Davido, who also stressed that all their support will be going to their uncle Ademola, shared a post where Dele was thanking his (Davido) father, Adedeji Adeleke for raising him. The singer also urged Osun residents to beware of “fakes”.
This was evidence that there are cracks in the Adeleke family over who should run for the office of the Governor of Osun state under the platform of the PDP.
KanyiDaily recalls that Senator Ademola Adeleke lost to Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressive Congress (APC) during the 2018 Osun State Governorship election.
