David Bennett Pig heart man / Patient cause of death:
The University of Maryland announced that 57-year-old David Bennett died yesterday, two months after he received the groundbreaking surgery.
A hospital official said:
There was no obvious cause identified at the time of his death.
David Bennett’s son while thanking the hospital for offering a last ditch attempt to save his father said:
”We are grateful for every innovative moment, every crazy dream, every sleepless night that went into this historic effort.
We hope this story can be the beginning of hope and not the end”.
