In a post shared on his Instagram page, the comic actor made reference to a recent murder case involving a Nigerian man, Christian Toby Obumseli, and his American girlfriend, Courtney Tailor.
KanyiDaily had reported how Christian was allegedly stabbed to death by Courtney who is still walking free after committing the murder because she is claiming that she is mentally ill to avoid going to jail.
Sharing a photo of the referenced couple, Okon urged Nigerians to come together to fix the country, so as not to be a “second class citizen of another country”.
He wrote, “A white American lady stabbed her Naija boyfriend to death. She is walking the streets free as we speak. While the man’s family is still mourning.
“The difference is clear. One is more American than and human than the other. To be a second-class citizen for another country may hurt deeper tomorrow.
“You genuinely have no other country apart from Nigeria. Let’s collectively fix her.
He a added, Yes Nigeria may be unfair to us but it hurts most when u get a worse treatment in climes you thought u will find succour.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Nigerian singer, Tekno had revealed that the easiest way to fix Nigeria is for the government to arrest everybody that needs to be prosecuted.
