A presidential hopeful on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mohammed Hayatu-Deen said Nigeria needs a selfless leader that can provide a safe, secure, and stable environment for citizens.

The former managing director of the now-defunct FSB International Bank spoke on Monday when he met some PDP stakeholders in Yola, the capital of Adamawa.
According to him, the country is in desperate need of leaders who can make sacrifices and provide opportunities for every Nigerian to excel, irrespective of religious or ethnic considerations.
Hayatu-deen said: “The country urgently needs seminal leadership that can provide the safe, secure and stable environment for a Nigeria that works for us all. We need someone who will take Nigeria and patiently nurture the country until it is back on the right path.
“Nigerians are in dire need of solutions. They need a set of leaders who can do things right, people who can sacrifice to put the country right. If we do not do right, we will not be forgiven by the next generation.”
The presidential aspirant challenged Nigerians to vote for leaders who can deliver, saying the country cannot afford to have another set of unprepared leaders in 2023.
Former minister of youth and sports development, Solomon Dalung, who was part of the delegation, said the presidential hopeful is the kind of leader Nigeria needs.
“On different projects, night and day, he would not sleep until we achieved our objectives and victory. I have told myself that until we get someone like him we don’t have a leader.
“We need someone who will take Nigeria and patiently nurture the country until it is back on the right path, “ the former minister said.
Meanwhile, the Redeemed Christian Church (RCCG) said Yemi Osinbajo being a “pastor and child of God,” remained the only aspirant capable of changing the governance narrative in Nigeria.
