Popular stand-up comedian, Okey Bakassi has mocked crossdressers by asserting that they are all poor and wretched individuals in Nigeria.
The actor made this disclosure during the Lagos Talks show with 91.3Fm, where he stated that he is yet to see any rich man that chose crossdressing as a lifestyle.
To Bakassi, crossdressers are poor people who couldn’t afford clothes (trousers) and resorted to wrappers and then skirts in a later period.
In the course of the show, someone mentioned the popular crossdresser, Bobrisky as a rich fellow and he boldly said that he was a poor and ‘broke’ person before he began crossdressing.

He further avowed that riches do not entail snapping and posting wads of cash on social media.
