Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has debunked reports making the rounds on social media that a plane crashed at Ikeja area of Lagos State.
Plane Crash In Lagos
On Tuesday night, reports emerged that a passenger plane crash-landed in Ikeja, causing panic and heavy traffic among road users in the area.
However, in a statement on its Twitter page, FAAN said the aircraft didn’t crash as widely reported, but was being transported to the location of its new owner.
“The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria would like to inform the general public to disregard the news making the rounds on social media about an alleged crash at Ikeja Airport.
“The aircraft was sold by the owner to a buyer, who was taking it to its final destination,” the statement reads.
