Mr. Emmanuel Garba, the father of late Deborah Samuel who was murdered in Sokoto for allegedly insulting Prophet Mohammed has revealed more details about the deceased.
In an interview with BBC Pidgin, the 55-year-old man revealed that his daughter was supposed to graduate this year and he was looking forward to that.
The aggrieved father also stated that training Deborah in school wasn’t easy and caused him to sell half of his house.
In his words:
“She was supposed to graduate this year and I was really looking forward to that day
“It was my brother in Sokoto that called to inform me about what happened to Deborah and immediately left for Sokoto to see for myself”
I have seven children and 21-year-old Deborah is my second child but among all my children I suffered greatly for education because I even sold half of my house for her education.
KanyiDaily recalls that Deborah Samuel’s mother also stated that none of her surviving children will go to school again.
