PDP Chairman spoke on Wednesday night during a meeting of the board of trustees (BoT) and national executive committee (NEC) members at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.
According to him, the leadership of the party and members are working “around the clock” to reposition the party and hold a successful presidential primary.
Ayu said, “We have worked round the clock on the details in preparation for the special convention. We are not only getting more united, but we are also getting more determined to work hard and reclaim power.
“Everybody is working hard. I believe with this spirit we will definitely do very well in the forthcoming election and nothing will stop us from taking over power come May next year.”
Ayu said the NWC will manage the finances of the party “wisely” and remain accountable.
“Your money will be spent wisely, there will be financial discipline and you will see how we spent your money. What we try to do is to try and make this place a much more pleasant place for you to come and hold meetings,” he said.
KanyiDaily recalls that during the meeting, the PDP decided to throw open its presidential ticket for all aspirants rather than zone it to a particular region of the country.
