Ahmed Idris, the suspended Accountant-General of the Federation has regained freedom from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Idris who was released on bail from the EFCC custody on Wednesday night, June 1, in Abuja has been captured in a viral video reuniting with his family members.
KanyiDaily recalls that on May 16, Idris was apprehended by the operatives of the anti-graft agency over alleged N84 billion fraud which stirred uproars in the country.
In the course of his detention, he mentioned more names of some top politicians who were involved in other fraudulent dealings which raised the alleged stolen funds to over N100Bn.
Idris was relieved of his duties three days after his arrest by the Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, to enable him to face his probe.
