A delegate at the presidential primary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from Jigawa State, Isah Baba-Buji, slumped and died while taking his breakfast early this morning in Abuja.
Mr Baba-Buji was the APC vice chairman for Jigawa Southwest.
The APC spokesperson in Jigawa, Bashir Kundu, confirmed the incident to reporters in Jigawa. He said the official was slumped and died while taking his breakfast and making plans to move to the venue of the APC presidential primary.
Mr Baba-Buji’s body has been conveyed back to Jigawa State for burial according to Islamic rites.

Meanwhile, Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are currently at the Eagle Square in Abuja, the venue of the presidential primary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
There have been concerns that politicians, especially presidential aspirants have been trying to financially induce delegates at the presidential convention of the various parties.
