Kanyi Daily recalls that Buhari, a retired army general rode to power in 2015 after defeating then president Jonathan.
He was elected on the strength of his promises to better the economy, reduce unemployment and ensure security of lives and property by defeating the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists amongst others.
But seven years into his administration, Nigeria is facing worse challenges like raging insecurity, extreme poverty, inflation, unemployment and depreciation of the naira than in 2015.
There have been concerns on the heels of reports that bandits and terrorists are planning series of attacks in parts of the country, including Abuja and Lagos.
Recall also that the minority caucus in the Senate and House of Representatives on Wednesday, gave Buhari six weeks ultimatum to address the alarming insecurity in the country or face impeachment.
Weeks ago, hoodlums believed to be bandits and terrorists attacked the Kuje prison in the country’s capital, Abuja and freed dreaded Boko Haram terrorists.
