The Lagos State Police Command, says its detectives have arrested a fake Army Captain, Andy Teddy Edwards, aged 39 for alleged armed robbery.
The command said the fake soldier who posed as a modeling agent, would invite ladies for auditioning and then rob them of their cars and valuables at gun point.

Spokesman of the command, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday afternoon and posted on the twitter handle of the command.
According to him, the suspect was arrested following a painstaking investigation that was launched after one of his victims reported the robbery of her Lexus RX330 SUV.
Hundeyin did not however, disclose when the suspect was arrested.
The statement reads, “Further investigation led to the recovery of one Ford Edge SUV with registration number KRD 276 EG, one sewing machine, one POS machine with six SIM cards, two pairs of military camouflage uniform, one number plate – AFL 469 GD, in the suspect’s house.
“While investigation is being rounded off, the owner of the Ford SUV is hereby urged to come forward to claim same. Suspect would be arraigned at the conclusion of investigation.”
The statement quoted the state Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, as assuring the people of the state of the unwavering commitment of officers and men of the command towards annihilation of crime and criminality in the state.

In other news, Kanyi Daily had reported that the Delta State Police command had arrested a fake Army Major who was conveying 420 packs of cannabis.
The 44-year old suspect, was arrested by police operatives on security patrol in Sapele.
