Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Mary Remmy Njoku has asked husbands to open their eyes to see the important position wives hold in their lives.
Mary, a mother of three married to Iroko TV boss, Jason Njoku, gave the advice in a terse letter addressed to husbands posted on her official Instagram handle on Sunday.
She argued that bearing children is not the only gift a woman has to offer her husband.
According to her, a wife might be the breakthrough to her husband’s success.
She wrote, “Dear husbands. The WOMB is not the one of the MANY gifts a girl has. Your wife MIGHT be the Godsent key to your success. Open your eyes!!”
To support her advice to husbands, the actress narrated a short story about one of her secondary school class mates.
She disclosed that she recently saw that school mate, who she claimed was very good at mathematics back then.
She did not particularly state what condition she found that class mate of hers, but only wondered what happened to her.
“In secondary school, 7 out of the 10 best in my class were females,” she revealed.
“I saw one of them recently (math Genius) and I don’t know what happened to her.
“Dear women, your spouse should complement you. Very important.
“Her husband is sitting on Gold and he is too stupid mine it. She was and still is a GENIUS.”
Kanyi Daily understands that the actress has been very vocal about issues that concern women, particularly married ones.
Only recently, she said if housewives are to be paid for the house chores they perform, they would be earning more than bank executives, adding that they need to be appreciated.
This site also recalled that Njoku had last year, said married women in Africa work twice as hard to be acknowledged.
