The Lagos State Police command, has confirmed the recovery of an SUV vehicle reported to have been stolen a night ago in the state.
Spokesman of the command, Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed this in a tweet on his official handle on Monday evening.
Hundeyin said the recovery of the vehicle was as a result of prompt reporting of the robbery to the police.

According to him, the vehicle was spotted at about 2am today by the eagle-eyed police officers of Ijora Badia Division by the roadside with both front doors open; and the key still in the ignition.
“At about 2am today, eagle-eyed police officers of Ijora Badia Division spotted an SUV by the roadside with both front doors open; and the key still in the ignition.”
The command’s spokesman also revealed that the vehicle was taken to the station, adding that documents, still intact in the vehicle, showed that the owner lives around Sango.
He further revealed that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Sango was contacted, who then confirmed the car was robbed last night.
“Owner was contacted to come get her car. Investigation is on to apprehend the fleeing robbers. See one of the benefits of PROMPTLY reporting criminal cases to the Police?,” his tweet reads briefly.

He did not however, disclose whether there was an exchange of gunshot by the police and the robbers.
It was also not stated whether the robbers took to their heels and left the vehicle upon sighting the policemen
In other news, Kanyi Daily had reported that the Lagos State police command had arrested a fake Army Captain, Andy Teddy Edwards, aged 39 for alleged armed robbery.
The command said the fake soldier who posed as a modeling agent, would invite ladies for auditioning and then rob them of their cars and valuables at gun point.
