A 24-year-old lady, Annastasia Michael has offered to donate one of her kidneys to save the life of Sonia Ekweremadu, the ailing daughter of the former deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu.

KanyiDaily recalls that Sonia Ekweremadu had recently taken to social media to make an appeal to members of the public to donate a kidney to save her life.
The 25-year-old, who described her battle with the kidney disease as “challenging”, said that her family members have been advised against kidney donation because medical examination showed her case was genetic.
She begged anyone willing to donate his or her kidney to her to send a mail which includes their name, phone number, email address, and place of residence to “[email protected]”
Reacting on her Facebook page, Annastasia said she was ready to offer one of her kidneys to Sonia for free to prove that women can help their fellow women.
The lady said that she had already forwarded a mail to the email address provided by Sonia, praying that her kidney should match that of the lawmaker’s daughter.
She wrote, “Kidney donation To Sonia Ekweremadu.
“I (Annastasia Michael Olamma) want to donate one of my kidney to Sonia Ekweremadu to save her life. I have made up my mind to do this to prove women can help women.
“If any of her relatives mum, dad, and siblings, cannot give out their kidneys to save their Bloodline, Then i will donate my own to save Sonia and I demand nothing in return. I pray it matches with her own.
“I am 24 years old ,I don’t take alcohol, and I believe my kidney is very healthy to donate. I have sent message to her email @[email protected] and anticipate for her reply.
“May God heal you 🙏😢 #womensupportingwomen #helpsonialive #sonialivematters.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice, are currently facing charges in a UK court over alleged human trafficking and organ harvesting of an alleged 15 years old boy, David Nwamini Ukpo.
The couple were accused of trafficking the ‘homeless boy’ from Lagos into the UK with the passport of a 41-year-old man, to transplant his organs to their daughter who suffers from kidney failure.
