Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma said the state would have been overrun by bandits and hoodlums if not for the intervention of President Muhammadu Buhari through the security agencies.
Hope Uzodinma Hails Buhari For His intervention In Imo
The governor stated this on Tuesday when the president visited the state to inaugurate some completed projects carried out by the Imo government.
According to him, Buhari’s prompt and fatherly intervention helped to restore peace and order in the state which would have been overrun by bandits and hoodlums.
“Your prompt intervention helped to restore peace and order in our state,” Uzodinma said.
“But for your timely, prompt and fatherly intervention through the security agencies, Imo state would have been overrun by bandits and hoodlums. For this, I also say thank you Mr President.
“My goal is to leave Imo state far better than I met it. We have refused to be distracted by insecurity, social media blackmail, and propaganda.”
In his remarks, President Buhari commended Governor Uzodinma for carrying out infrastructural projects in the state.
“Uzodimma has made the provisions of good roads his priority in Imo state with little resources,” Buhari said.
“In my last visit, I urged the people of Imo to support governor Uzodimma and I’m happy you listened to my advice.”
KanyiDaily recalls that the PDP had accused Governor Hope Uzodimma of luring President Muhammadu Buhari to the state to “re-commission a 30-year-old repainted complex and the uncompleted Owerri-Okigwe Road.”
