Porn Francis Warns Christians Against Watching Pornography
The head of the Catholic church stated this while responding to a question about how digital and social media should be best used.
Pope explained how to navigate social media and the digital world by using it efficiently and not to waste too much time on it.
He warned priests and nuns of the dangers associated with watching pornography, saying “it not just weakens the priestly heart” but also allows “devils to enter.”
The 86-year-old also urged people to delete porn and adult apps from their phone suggesting that it is a temptation in hand.
Pope Francis said, “Each of you think if you’ve had the experience or had the temptation of digital pornography.
“It’s a vice that so many people have, so many laymen, so many laywomen and even priests and nuns.
“And I’m not just talking about criminal pornography like child abuse, where you see live cases of abuse – that’s already degeneracy – but of the more ‘normal’ pornography.
“Delete this (porn) from your phone, so you will not have temptation in hand,” he advised.
The Pope warned about the risks and dangers of watching pornography online, saying it “weakens the priestly heart”.
Francis warned: “I tell you, it is something that weakens the soul. It weakens the soul. The devil enters from there: he weakens the priestly heart.”
“The pure heart, the one that Jesus receives every day, cannot receive this pornographic information.”
He cautioned priests and nuns, saying: ‘Dear brothers, be careful about this.’
Speaking about how to navigate social media and the digital world, the Pope advised that there is no harm in using them as long as people don’t waste too much time on social media.
The Pope also revealed that he had been given a mobile phone when he became a bishop 30 years ago.
He said that the phone was of the size of a shoe and he only made one call, to his sister, and gave it back.
in June, the Pope called it “a permanent attack on the dignity of men and women”, saying it should be declared a “threat to public health”.
KanyiDaily recalls that Pope Francis became the first pontiff to endorse gay marriage, saying he thinks same-sex couples should be allowed to have civil union.
