The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a car passenger who refused to be searched by patrol officers only to be found with a locally made pistol while on the way to the police station.

This was disclosed in a terse tweet by the Spokesman of the command, Benjamin Hundeyin.
Hundeyin said patrol officers of the Morogbo Division flagged down a vehicle for routine checks on November 16.
According to him, one of the passengers staunchly refused to be searched, adding that on the way to the police station, the passenger quietly dropped off his bag.
Contents of the bag are a locally made pistol with ammunition, several N500, and N1000 naira notes, and an ATM card amongst others.
He wrote, “On November 16, 2022, at about 2215hrs, vigilant patrol officers of Morogbo Division flagged down a vehicle for routine checks. One of the passengers staunchly refused to be searched. On the way to the police station, he quietly dropped off his bag. Contents of bag 👇🏻

Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported how the police in Lagos arrested a man, who sighted a patrol team and ran with a gun, ammunition, an axe, and a machete.
