President Muhammadu Buhari will unveil the newly designed naira notes on Wednesday, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele has announced.

Emefiele announced this on Tuesday in Abuja during the Monetary Policy Committee monthly meeting.
The newly designed naira notes to be unveiled are N1,000, N500, and N200 notes.
The governor said the apex bank would not move the January 31, 2023 deadline for all old notes to be deposited to commercial banks.
The apex bank governor has however said the CBN will not wait till December 15 but will unveil on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 (tomorrow).
He said, “100 days is enough for any person from any part of Nigeria to deposit his money in the bank and get his money when the new notes are released.
“For information, indeed, we are no longer waiting till December 15th to unveil and begin to release the new notes.
“By the special grace of God, tomorrow, which is the 23rd of November 2022, the President has graciously accepted to unveil the new currencies and the new currencies will be unveiled tomorrow at the Federal Executive Chamber by 10 am.”
In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that a Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday, ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to immediately resume the Continuous Voters Registration until 90 days before the 2023 general elections.
Justice Inyang Ekwo, in the judgment, also directed INEC to ensure that eligible Nigerians were not deprived of the opportunity to have their voter card for the forthcoming poll.
Justice Ekwo held that it was the constitutional responsibility of the electoral umpire to make adequate provisions for the exercise in accordance with the Nigerian laws.
