A Nigerian man has taken to social media to raise alarm over the circulation of fake N1000 notes which was redesigned by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Nigerian Man Raises Alarm Over Fake Naira Notes In Circulation

KanyiDaily recalls that the CBN released the redesigned naira notes on December, 15, 2022.

A few days after the release, a man has alerted Nigerians on circulation of fake N1000 notes.

In a viral video, the man revealed that an unknown customer performed a bank transaction through his wife’s Point of Sale (PoS) using the fake Naira notes.

He noted that the difference between both Naira notes is that the original has a gold seal at the bottom of the right hand side of the note which cannot be erased when scratched.

But the fake one doesn’t have a gold seal at the bottom of the right hand side of the note close to the signatures.
