An Abuja High Court in Maitama has granted Anita’s divorce from her estranged husband, Paul Okoye, who she accused of alleged infidelity and fraud.
Court Dissolves Paul Okoye’s Marriage To Anita
KanyiDaily recalls that Anita Okoye recently filed for divorce against Paul, after having three children for him since their marriage in 2014.
In a suit filed in August 2021, Anita accused Paul of having an affair with one of their housemaids named Florence, also revealing that he defrauded her of N10 million.
The mother of three claimed that cheating, separation, being an absent father, fraud, and difficult experiences were her major reasons for seeking a divorce.
In her divorce petition signed by her lawyer, Ojonimi Akpe and Okutepa J.S, she also requested a monthly settlement of $20,000 and a number of her husband’s mansions.
However, Anita decided to withdraw the claims and opted to settle following alleged inability to prove all of the claims in her petition to the court.
Consequently, the court in its judgment granted joint custody of the children to the parties. Anita was not given any money in the form of alimony or settlement.
Meanwhile, Paul Okoye has moved on to a younger lover, Ivy Ifeoma, who is almost half his age while Anita is in the United States with their 3 kids.
