The Lagos State Government has taken delivery of two new trains set for the blue line rail.
Two New Trains Received By Lagos Government
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu disclosed this in a tweet on his official Twitter handle on Monday afternoon.
The Blue Line Rail project is a 27-kilometre rail route designed to run from Okokomaiko to Mile 2 and then proceed to Marina via Ijora.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu said, “Dear Lagos, We have taken delivery of two new train sets for the blue line rail.
“These passenger trains have been cleared at the port of entry, and have been moved to the National Theatre station where they have been lifted onto the elevated rail tracks.
“I am indeed glad to inform the good people of Lagos that with the arrival of these train sets, we’re on course with our plans to change the face of the rail transport system in Lagos State. A Greater Lagos is indeed Rising.”

Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported that the Chairman of DAAR Communications Limited, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi was released by the police in the United Kingdom (UK).
This was disclosed in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday morning by the DAAR Communications management.
Dokpesi was on Sunday, January 8th arrested by the police in the UK.
