Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has addressed the allegations made against him by his wife, Stella Okafor.
KanyiDaily recalls that Stella had alleged that her husband is having a sexual affair with his adopted daughter, Jasmine Okafor, whose real name is “Chioma Florence Okekeagukwu”.
Ibu’s wife also claimed that Jasmine has taken over her husband’s Instagram account in an attempt to dupe him because he suffers from dementia and can’t remember things.
She also claimed that Jasmine is now Ibu’s manager and has been receiving all money allocated to him, stressing that she has to pass through the alleged daughter to get money from her husband.
The mother of four lamented that Jasmine has an eight-year-old daughter who is going to school, but her own children are out of school because Jasmine, who is in charge of Ibu’s accounts wouldn’t authorize the paying of their school fees.
Stella also revealed that Jasmine is currently on the verge of selling Ibu’s CBN estate in Abuja for N65million, and she’s allegedly threatening to send her (Stella) and her four children packing from the house.
Mr Ibu Breaks Silence
During a chat with media personality, Daddy Freeze, the actor said that Stella is his second wife and that she is aware that Jasmine is his adopted daughter before he married her.
Ibu denied having any sexual affair with Jasmine who stood by him when he was ill and took care of all his medical expenses and has been helping out with his financial responsibilities.
Speaking on behalf of his father during the live session, Ibu’s second son, Daniel confirmed that Jasmine is his sister as his father adopted her when she was a toddler.
“She is his 100 percent his daughter not biological but adopted right from childhood,” Daniel said in defense of his father and sister.
Mr Ibu continued revealing how he has been taking care of his wife and children, and that he has even bought her cars, which she has sold without giving him a dime.
His son, Daniel also stated that Jasmine took care of their father when Stella refused to stay with him in the hospital and paid N500,000 to retrieve and verify his father’s Instagram account.
He said, “She (Jasmine) was in Cyprus then. When she heard the news, she came to Abuja to take care of my dad, paying the bills while he was in the hospital.
“Before, my daddy’s Instagram account was hacked, she was the one that paid N500k to get it. The account was not verified then and she was the one that got the account verified.
“I can remember when he was in the hospital and doctor asked her ‘Is your husband taking the drugs?’ Stella said she doesn’t know. She left the man alone and went to a party.”
Jasmine Clears The Air
Also joining the live session, Jasmine dismissed the claims that she isn’t the actor’s daughter but his girlfriend. She demanded the presence of Ibu’s wife in the session while recounting how they had a good relationship in the past, and she Stella would always refer to her as a daughter.
According to Jasmine, the root of the entire drama is money and how Stella is always wanting more from the actor even though she knows he is not working.
The actor’s daughter mentioned how his wife made him sell his landed property worth over N4 million for less and how she got N700k for the children’s school fees and another N300k to fix her car.
Jasmine shared several bank transaction screenshots while recounting how the actor’s wife would always come to her whenever she needed to get money from him.
On the actor’s sickness, Jasmine equally claimed that the actor’s wife was hardly ever around and the few times she visited, she was always concerned about recording videos to share on social media.
According to her, the viral clip of Stella cutting Mr Ibu’s nail at the hospital was all planned and shared online to make the world see her as a dutiful wife.
