Naira Scarcity: Protest Breaks Out In Rivers State [Videos]
As a result of naira scarcity, protests have broken out in the Diobu and Mile 1 areas of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Naira Scarcity Causes Protest In Rivers State
Banks, according to reports, are being set ablaze with people out on the roads protesting the new naira redesign.
From the pictures and videos, angry protesters are seen setting banks on fire, and burning tyres on the roads while weapon-wielding men are seen on the streets of the state protesting.
Residents living in that area have been advised to stay indoors due to gunshots being heard.
There's an ongoing protest in Mile 1, 2 and 3 axis of pH city, rivers state.

Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported that a similar protest has broken out in Benin City, Edo State a few weeks ago over the economic hardship in the country.
