Paul Okoye of the music group, Psquare, has cried out over the prevailing scarcity of naira notes in the country.
In a post shared on his Instagram story, the singer claimed he bought N40,000 with N70,000 for a service at an embassy where they only accepted cash.
Okoye wrote, “Omoh!!! I buy money today!! Just because I have to pay for a certain visa fee in an embassy, and it has to be paid in cash. Jokes apart I bought N40k with N70k Aahhh!!!!!! Naija breaking new records.”
This comes a few hours after Paul Okoye commended the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari to extend the validity period of the old N200 notes.
