Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo has sent a thought-provoking message to people with next-of-kin as regards money.

Next of kin usually refers to a person’s closest living relative. Individuals who count as next of kin include those with a blood relation, such as children, or those with a legal standing, such as spouses or adopted children. A person’s next of kin often take precedence over others in inheritance cases, especially when a will is not established.

Timi Dakolo, in a tweet on his official handle on Monday, asked people with next of kin to spend their money on themselves.

According to Timi Dakolo, some next of kin have no regard for anyone’s hard work as they could waste the money as they dey so pleases.

He wrote in pidgin, “Try Dey chop your money o, cos these people called next of kin fit carry your hard work go dey do money ain’t a thing, take whatever you like.”

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi has mourned the death of a female Commissioner in Kwara State Civil Service Commission, Mrs. Dorcas Afeniforo, who died in a fatal auto accident.

Mrs. Afeniforo, a former commissioner for Women Affairs and top loyalist of the governor, died in an auto crash on Saturday while returning from a trip to Lagos.
