President Muhammadu Buhari has cast his votes for the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections and has also violated an important electoral act in Nigeria.
The number one citizen exercised his franchise at about 09:00 GMT at the Kofar Baru Polling Unit 003 of Sarkin Yara ‘A’ Ward of Daura, Daura Local Government Area of Katsina State.
However, President Muhammadu Buhari breached the INEC rule of secret ballot as contained in Section 94 of the Electoral Act.
President Buhari has violated the electoral act by displaying his ballot paper and showing who he voted for in the presidential election.

After casting his vote, President Buhari started displaying his ballot papers to the crowd revealing the candidates he voted for.
The offense carries a fine of N500,000 or a prison term of six months or both
