Nollywood actress and movie producer, Mary Remmy Njoku has been recognized by the prestigious American magazine, Forbes.
Mary was named among the 2023 Forbes’ list of 50 most influential women in Africa.
The actress was chosen alongside many other successful women who have made names for themselves and have made an impact on the world in the little ways they can as they navigate through life with their adept agility to portray womanhood in a greater light.
They include The Billionaire and executive chairman of a booming oil company in Nigeria, Folorunsho Alakija, the Director General of the World Trade Organization and an economist, Okonjo Iweala, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, Amina J. Mohammed, popular Feminist, author and activist, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, among several others.
Taking to her Instagram page, Mary Njoku stated that she was only a “Mile2 born Nnsukka girl” before becoming a power figure.
She also appreciated her husband, Jason Njoku who she described as her ‘Halo’.
“A Mile2 born Nsukka girl made it to @forbesafrique. It was just a dream…Thanks @jasonnjoku you are my Halo” the actress wrote.
