Nollywood actor and politician, Desmond Elliott has joined Muslims to pray for the president-elect, Bola Tinubu.
KanyiDaily recalls that Tinubu had directed that special prayers and thanksgiving service be held on Wednesday, March 29, instead of the yearly birthday colloquium.
According to him, the special prayers, which will be held in Lagos and other parts of the country, will include prayers for the peace, unity, and progress of Nigeria.
In a now-deleted post shared on his Instagram page on Friday, Desmond Elliot shared photos of him with Muslims in a mosque.
The lawmaker, who represents the Surulere constituency at the Lagos state house of assembly, said he joined his colleagues to pray in commemoration of Tinubu’s 71st birthday.
He wrote: “Joined my colleagues to pray for the President-elect. On the occasion of his birthday celebration”.
