In a video circulating on social media, the 26-year-old rapper could be seen on the floor a bathroom while being kicked and beaten by a group of male attackers.

6ix9ine’s lawyer, Lance Lazzaro told TMZ that the rapper was inside the sauna Tuesday at an LA Fitness when all of the sudden he was attacked by several guys without warning.

Lazzaro said 6ix9ine tried to fight off the combatants, but there were too many of them, beating him to a pulp and leaving him with facial injuries and bruises before fleeing the gym.

The rapper, who did not have security on him at the time, was pictured with a swollen face and a gash on his cheek. He also suffered injuries to his jaw, ribs and his back in the attack.

Police in South Florida were called, and Tekashi 69 was transported via ambulance to a local hospital, according to Lazzaro. He didn’t disclosed if the rapper is still hospitalized.

Lazzaro told TMZ he plans to ensure 6ix9ine gets some protection, since he was released from federal prison in April 2020.

KanyiDaily recalls that Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested and sentenced to two years in prison in 2019 on nine charges, including racketeering, drug trafficking and firearm offenses in relation to his involvement with the Nine Trey Bloods gang.

Tekashi 6ix9ine, however, received a shortened prison sentence after he cooperated with federal officials to imprison his associates. He was released early due to COVID-19 concerns, after a judge called the rapper a “model prisoner.”
