The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has reinstated Ifeanyi Ararume as the non-executive Chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL).
The judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo set aside all decisions and resolutions of the Board of the NNPCL made in the absence of Ararume from 17th January 2022 till date.
Justice Ekwo in his judgment ordered that the sum of 5 billion Naira be awarded to Ararume for damages incurred as a result of his removal from office.
The court ordered that Ifeanyi Ararume should be reinstated with all rights and privileges due to him.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that a Nigerian man, Joseph Victor Ndubuka, who pretended to be a Caucasian gay to defraud his victims, was on Monday, arraigned before Justice Darius Khobo of the Kaduna State High Court.
He was arraigned by the Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a two-count charge bordering on romance scam and non-disclosure of assets.
