US-based Nigerian dancer, Korra Obidi has defended her colleague, Janemena, after she was criticized for twerking scantily clad with an Igbo traditional cap.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, Janemena could be seen wearing the Igbo cap on her head while dancing sensually to Korra Obidi’s latest song, ‘Obi’.
Jane Mena, who is known for her twerking skills, was rocking a scanty clothing, without a brassiere, and with a white piece of material around her waist acting as a makeshift skirt.
Sharing the video, she wrote: “Something light for y’all this Friyayyyy😍 Plus I’m super happy today and I want to post 15 businesses on my story for free. Tell us what you sell? I will be selecting randomly. Let’s goooooo💃🏽”
Taking to the comment section, an IG user identified as @theodora_igboaruk slammed her for wearing the Igbo cap while questioning her respect for tradition.
wrote: “Dnt use that cap for such pls. Dnt u have respect for Igbo traditional cap? Na abo ike na a ga ghari”
Replying she wrote: “@theodora_igboaruk my love no vex, but please translate the Igbo😫.”
Korra Obidi, who thanked Janemena for supporting her music, asked the Igbo woman to relax. She wrote: “@theodora_igboaruk Zukwanike. One love.”
