A former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Sani has lamented about the complex nature of women.
In a Twitter post, Shehu Sani said that his wife revealed that she likes Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, but when he told her that he likes globally celebrated author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, she became angry about it.
Wole Soyinka and Chimamanda Adichie have been trending on social media for the past few days, following their different observations about the 2023 general election.
KanyiDaily recalls that Adichie had written a letter to President Joe Biden of the United States, urging him not to accept the election results that produced Bola Tinubu as the president-elect.
Soyinka was also a guest on Channels Television where he condemned the statement made by Labour Party’s Vice Presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed, against Tinubu.
A lot of Nigerians have been praising Soyinka after he condemned Baba-Ahmed’s statement, while some are praising Chimamanda after her letter to US President, Joe Biden.
Taking to his Twitter page, Shehu Sani shared the drama that ensured in his family after he revealed that he likes Chimamanda, while his wife likes Soyinka.
He wrote: “My wife said she likes Soyinka and I was ok with it, and I said I like Chimamanda and suddenly she got angry; Women are too difficult to understand.They can like but you can’t equally like.”
A follower asked Sani: “My Senator, did you use like or love??”
He responded: “Only like I use my brother.”
