The Kano state command of the Nigeria and Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Friday, said it had arrested a total of 93 suspects for various crimes between January and March.
This was disclosed by the State Commandant of NSCDC, Adamu Salihu, during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Kano.
According to him, the suspects were arrested for theft, vandalism, and criminal breach of trust among others.
He said 29 out of 93 suspects were prosecuted before the court of law, while 57 were under investigation and seven convictions were secured within the period.
Salihu reiterated the NSCDC’s commitment to protecting national assets and infrastructure and enjoined residents to support security agencies with useful security information to keep the state safe.
